The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), a neutral and independent humanitarian organization, has a vacancy at its Mission in Athens for a resident position:

Communication and Press officer (M/F)

Under the authority of the Head of Mission and in coordination with Europe Mission and HQ communication departments, the Communication Field Officer develops communication programs in Greece. He/she is in charge of public relations, with media as well as with other organizations. He/she provides environment scanning analysis, elaborates communication tools for other departments, and contributes to the reporting.

The organization seeks for:
- Communication and Press officer (Athens).
Ideal profile:
- University degree or professional diploma (Communication, Human or Political Science, etc.)
- 3-5 years’ work experience in a similar field
- Fluent in Greek and English, other languages an asset
- Very good computer skills
- Very good analytical and writing skills
- Very good networking capacities
- Confirmed capacity to analyze the political and social environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, diplomacy and organizational skills; ability to prioritize work
- A demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels both internally and externally
- Ability to work in a team in a multicultural environment.
