Arabic or Farsi-Speaking Communication & Information Officer (Athens).
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- University degree in communications, journalism or related field; or equivalent experience.
- A general appreciation of the issues concerning the development/civil society sector with an in-depth knowledge of communications, marketing, and/or fundraising.
- Substantial experience in a corporate or an NGO environment, with experience in successfully assisting in the development and implementation of communication and campaign strategies.
- Highly developed intercultural/interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching.
- Experience of collecting and producing communications materials, such as case studies and photo stories.
- Strong results orientation.
- Ability to present complex information in a succinct and compelling manner.
- Familiarity with child protection and safeguarding issues, including experience with vulnerable populations.
- Experience of building personal networks, resulting in securing significant new opportunities for the organisation.
- Fluent in written and spoken English. Fluency in Arabic OR Farsi required.
- Ability and willingness to work under pressure and be flexible with working hours.
- Experience of solving complex issues through analysis.
