The Oxford University Big Data Institute (BDI) is a new interdisciplinary research centre aiming to develop, evaluate and deploy efficient methods for acquiring and analysing biomedical data at scale and for exploiting the opportunities arising from such studies. The Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH), a key partner in the BDI, contains world-renowned population health research groups and is an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary teaching and research.
Supported by the Robertson Foundation, this fellowship programme is intended to support an outstanding investigator to develop their own research programme focussed on the efficient collection and analysis of digital phenotypic data and, through collaboration with relevant researchers, utilize these to address major clinical research questions. It is intended that fellows will become globally significant research leaders.
The Fellowships will be held for a period of seven years, subject to satisfactory completion of a formal mid-term review. Funding of up to £50,000 per year will be provided to support research programme costs, which could include a research assistant.
Applicants should be a recognised international authority within the area of digital phenotyping for large-scale clinical research and have a proven track record of leading research programmes, applications for the Fellowships are welcome from senior scientists, clinicians and those from non-academic backgrounds.
