The Protection Field Officer contributes to the implementation of the Protection objectives of the ICRC Mission in Greece. As part of a team, he/she carries out visits to places of detention and closed facilities hosting migrants/refugees. He/she participates to other activities aiming at the reinforcement of the protection of migrants/refugees. He/she can also provide support for activities related to the Reestablishment of Family Links and Forensic programs.

General Overview:
- Contributes to the implementation and running of specific projects / programmes.
- Develops and maintains contacts with authorities or other external interlocutors at various levels.
- Presents the ICRC principles, mandate and activities to interlocutors and beneficiaries at a district level
- Plans and organises field trips
- Contributes to written reporting
- Carries out verbal and written translations/interpretation
- Analyses the socio-economic, political and cultural trends of the covered area and the evolution of the humanitarian situation.
