The German-Israeli Helmholtz Research School SignGene offers PhD positions in Cell Signaling, Gene Regulation and Quantitative Biology in some of the best labs in Israel.
The binational Helmholtz Research School “Frontiers in Cell Signaling and Gene Regulation” (SignGene) is a joint PhD program between the Technion – Institute of Technology in Haifa, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the Max Delbrueck Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin. Our research focuses on unraveling the mechanisms that govern the development and physiological functions of normal cells with the goal of understanding the pathological processes underlying diseases such as cancer. Lively interactions across our network of world-leading scientists and vivid scientific collaborations across borders make SignGene an exceptional international experience for PhD students.

We are looking for highly motivated candidates of any nationality. Applicants are required to hold or obtain a Master's degree or Diploma including a research project and written thesis. The Master's degree score should be “very good" (85 % or better). At the time of application, the degree does not have to be fully finished. An English test (TOEFL, IELTS) is mandatory if you are not a native speaker. A GRE test is strongly recommended.
Successful applicants are expected to start their PhD within 6 months of receiving the offer.
Stipends will be paid according to Technion / Hebrew University standards.
