Three (3) PhD Positions in Wireless Communications, Pompeu Fabra University, Spain (2016)

The ERC Advanced Grant 694974 “POSTCELL” is offering doctoral positions in the Department of Information and Communication Technologies at UPF Barcelona. It is a full-time temporary employment with a competitive salary and full social benefits, with the option of further acquiring teaching experience. Description
The goal of POSTCELL is to investigate the performance and the fundamental limits of future wireless networks from an information- and communication-theoretic vantage. Applicants are expected to hold, or to be about to obtain, a M.Sc. with excellent track record in a subject relevant to wireless communications. Besides communications, information theory, and signal processing, expertise in stochastic geometry or in machine learning is valued. Sufficient mastery of written and oral English is required. Self-motivation and the ability to work both within a team are expected. Above all, candidates should be creative and enthusiastic about research.
