The Department of Life Sciences carries out research in the fields related to the study of living organisms, including their structure, function, development, pathology, origin, evolution, distribution, taxonomy and interaction with the environment. The pharmacology and toxicology of the interactions of chemical substances with biological systems are also studied.
The Department of Life Sciences provides courses in Biology at the > bachelor, master and PhD levels and contributes to science courses > provided by other Departments.
