During 2016 the School of Electrical Engineering launches a new Ph.D. program in the digitalization of electric power engineering, where ‘digitalization’ refers to new ways of applying ICT to get more efficient and sustainable engineered systems as a result.
In connection to this effort we strive to recruit about ten Ph.D. students to work in cross-disciplinary projects motivated by the topic of the Ph.D. program. Common for all positions is that the Ph.D. student will interact with both an ICT group and an Electric Power Engineering group, with corresponding supervision. The new Ph.D. program is a considerable investment, with the goal to create new synergies between the school’s world class research in ICT and Electric Power Engineering, respectively. This will result in a unique research and education effort, where the graduated Ph.D.’s will be highly competitive on the international job market.
The future Ph.D. student will be admitted into a Ph.D. program that provides world class quality education, including a large list of graduate courses ensuring an in-depth development of relevant competences and skills.
KTH offers a Ph.D. employment with a generous salary, as well as other employment benefits and an attractive working environment. As a Ph.D. student at KTH you have many opportunities to participate in research projects, conferences and other relevant events which will extend your professional network and benefit your future career.
