Twelve (12) PhD Positions in Engineering, Polytechnic University of Milan, Italy (2016-2017)

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano is currently seeking applicants for PhD scholarships (12 fully-funded positions) in the following research areas:

- Advanced Materials and Smart Structures
- Sustainable Mobility
- Engineering Design and Manufacturing for the Industry of the Future
- Additive Manufacturing

The proposed PhDs will be carried out at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Politecnico di Milano; the attainment of the PhD title requires full time study and research activity of at least three years.

Candidates with scholarship (1.200 euro/month) receive extra- funding (500 euro/month) for research periods abroad. All positions benefit from financial aid for study materials and conference fees during II and III year (1.370 euro/year).

Requirements: Master of Science (min. 5 years of graduate education); certified English Language proficiency; minimum average score in exams (as indicated in the call for application-attachment 1).
