Faculty and students from the Division of Kinesiology and Health, University of Wyoming, are excited to be hosting the 2016 AIESEP Conference: "Blazing New Trails: Future Directions for Sport Pedagogy and Physical Activity" in Laramie, Wyoming.
The conference will take place 8-11/06/2016 in Laramie, Wyoming -USA.
The conference organizing committee includes Mark Byra (chair), Karen Gaudreault, Jayne Jenkins, and Tristan Wallhead (chair, scienti c committee). In addition, faculty members from the division and undergraduate and graduate students will support the organizing committee’s efforts in hosting this international conference.
Themes of the Conference:
1. e role of physical education in the promotion of physical activity in the public health agenda.
2. Professional development for the enhancement of teacher and coach knowledge and practice.
3. Social responsibility and culturally responsive practices in physical education, sport, and physical activity.
4. Pedagogical practices in physical education and sport.
5. Policy and curriculum innovation in physical education, sport, and health promotion.
