Combine your summer holiday with your interests and hobbies: choose either our Technology programme or our Performing Arts programme and have a creative summer!
Learn in multiple ways through discovery, experimentation, creativity and exchanging ideas with others.
Technology and Performing Arts Summer School:
- is designed for teenagers aged 14 to 18
- will take place from 4 to 15 July 2016 at the British Council in Athens and at partner venues
- will be held from Monday to Friday, 10.00–15.00
- includes experiential workshops (delivered in Greek and English), outdoor visits and a final event, open to friends and parents, on the evening of Friday 8 July.
Participants in our Technology programme will take part in the following activities:
- Discussing such questions as ‘How does the road to technological innovations begin?’ and ‘How can I systematically search for new ideas?’
- Building prototypes, testing and developing ideas
- Creating online content and changing website coding
- Developing mobile phone apps
- Designing games
- Practising reverse engineering in team challenges
- Developing new ways of thinking that encourage innovation and development
- Building amplifier and speakers
- Becoming a technology creator.
The core programme of the Summer School will be held on the British Council premises at 17 Kolonaki Square, 106 73 Athens. A number of workshops will be held at partner venues (e.g. museums, foundations, university laboratories, outdoor venues).
Participants will receive a certificate on completion of the programme.
