Education Specialist at UNICEF (Athens)

Purpose of the request

Under the general guidance and direction of the UNICEF Country Coordinator for Greece, the Education Specialist will be responsible for the overall management, monitoring and reporting of UNICEF's education response to the refugee and migrant crisis in Greece, in support of the Greek Ministry of Education.

Required skills and experience

Advanced University Degree in Education or related field.
8 years' experience in the field of education, including international experience at a managerial level.
Experience in supporting Ministries of Education in sector planning and capacity development.
Experience in managing partnerships and contracting with civil society, including monitoring and reporting.
Experience in working with minority groups/languages.
Education in Emergencies experience, an asset.
