Early Career Development Scheme
On this new, prestigious scheme you will lead a competitive programme of focussed, independent cancer research. With up to 3 years support, you will strengthen your scientific credibility significantly, in preparation for your application for an 'early career development award'.
You will be placed into a world leading research environment, alongside internationally competitive cancer researchers with access to the very best research facilities and cutting edge technologies. You will also benefit from a dedicated mentoring system that focuses on placing you in the very best position to be successful as an independent career investigator.
Successful candidates will receive a competitive salary as well as research support costs to enable you to focus on your research programme. The scheme is designed to nurture high-performing early career investigators, who have 3-6 years of post-doctoral training. We expect you to have conducted independent, dry or wet-lab research at the forefront of any of the following fields: Basic biology; Preclinical studies; Biomarker Sciences; Imaging; Radiotherapy (including physics).
