we are glad to inform you about the launch of the Second Call for Proposals within the Fellowship Programme TALENTS³, developed by AREA Science Park with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region financial contribution through the European Social Fund.
The second phase of TALENTS³ Fellowship Programme offers:
- 4 incoming research grants to carry out projects at one of the scientific institutions belonging to the CER - Coordination Network of research institutions of Friuli Venezia Giulia or at one of the enterprises established in the regional territory and implementing R&D activities. The activity is addressed to researchers resident in the following countries Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece (EUSAIR macro-regional strategy) and Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein (EUSALP macro-regional strategy).
- 3 outgoing research grants to carry out projects at a foreign scientific institution or enterprise developing R&D activities, located in the territory of the macro-regional EUSAIR Strategy (Slovenia - for the outgoing mobility, Slovenia is considered belonging to EUSAIR macro region only - Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece) or the future EUSALP Strategy (Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Liechtenstein), with mandatory return to Friuli Venezia Giulia region; the activity is addressed to researchers resident in Friuli Venezia Giulia. A return phase is mandatory.
The Call for Proposals will expire on September the 21st 2016, h 3.00 p.m. (Italian local time).
Candidates are free to choose a research topic within one of the five scientific areas. Moreover, proposals shall be coherent with the Smart Specialisation Strategy of Friuli Venezia Giulia region.

1.Biotechnologies and Diagnostics
2. Material technologies, Mechanics, Physics and Chemistry
3. Ecology, Environment and Energy
4. Information Technology
5. Economic, Human and Social Sciences.
Moreover, research projects must be coherent with the following technological areas of the Smart Specialisation Strategy of Friuli Venezia Giulia:
1. Agri-food
2. Strategic production chains: industry engineering, home systems
3. Maritime technologies
4. Smart Health
5. Culture, creativity and tourism.
