We are seeking expressions of interest from outstanding scientific researchers with a view to submitting applications for a Royal Society – Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) University Research Fellowship.
The Royal Society and SFI have announced a University Research Fellowship (URF) scheme that provides outstanding early career researchers, with potential to become leaders in their chosen field, an opportunity to build an independent research career. Maynooth University is keen to support excellent scientists that match this ambition in our priority research areas.
The call is open to applicants in the fields of the natural sciences and engineering (including agriculture, mathematics, technology, but excluding clinical medicine or biomedical research). Eligible applicants must be 3-8 years post-PhD and must not hold a permanent academic or research position in the European Economic Area (EEA) or in Switzerland.
Maynooth University welcomes applications from disciplines that complement our existing research teams and build on our international standing, national leadership and strong industrial collaboration.
We are interested in future leaders in:
• Quantum Technologies
• Climate Science (including atmospheric physics, remote sensing, earth observation)
• Radio Science, Networks & Communications (especially in High GigaHertz/Low TeraHertz range)
• Applied Probability Statistics, Data Analytics
• Robotics & Control, Computer Vision
• Biological Chemistry (especially synthetic chemistry or protein chemistry)
