Several postdoctoral stipends are available in the clinical proteomics group at The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research (CPR – www.cpr.ku.dk). The Center has been established at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, to promote basic and applied discovery research on human proteins of medical relevance. The Center comprises a wide range of expertise and resources including proteomics, protein production and characterization in disease mechanisms. The clinical proteomics group is led by Prof. Dr. Matthias Mann, a leading authority in mass spectrometry-based proteomics with more than 160,000 citations and an h-factor of 191 (Google Scholar).
Qualifications
- The candidate is required to have a PhD or equivalent degree in the natural or medical science.
- Excellent scientific track record, including at least one publication as first author in a high quality, peer reviewed international journal.
- A good molecular biology/molecular biomedicine background is required
- Experience with mass spectrometry based proteomics is highly desired
- Experience and interest in technology development, especially in MS-based proteomics are advantageous
- Experience with clinical proteomics is likewise desirable
- The candidate needs to be able to work effectively in an international and multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated writing and other communication skills are advantageous
