IFSW Europe and the Icelandic Association of Social Workers are pleased to invite you to the IFSW European Conference which will take place in Reykjavík between May 28th – 30th 2017.
The theme of the conference will encourage social workers from all over Europe to engage in a stimulating professional discussion on how social work is evolving with new groups being marginalized in Europe in the changing society of the 21st Century and how social workers can promote sustainable communities. Other indicative themes are Human Rights, Families, Prevention and early Intervention, Health, Mental Health Care, Social work and the Educational system, Social work without borders- Immigrants, Challenges in Social work with people with Disabilities, Substance misuse, Homeless people, Social work with Elderly people and Disaster Social work.
The venue for the Conference is Harpa, a new conference center and concert hall in the heart of Reykjavík, located on the harbour front.
IFSW European Conference 2017 in Reykjavík will be a stimulating event with an interesting and challenging professional program with exciting workshops and field visits in the fields of social work practice, policy making and research, providing an opportunity for social workers to share their experiences.
