Civil Engineer at Effective in Athens

Currently we are seeking to recruit a young, qualified individual to join the team and support the Construction & Development Department. The ideal candidate must possess 3 to 5 years of proven related experience in construction, civil engineering & site management. He/she needs to be self-motivated, career-driven and eager to adjust work efforts & available to work long hours if/when required.
Essential Requirements:
• Technical University degree in Civil Engineering
• Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in AutoCAD, plus Primavera Project Planner or MS Project
• Organizational and technical skills with the ability to design, plan & manage projects
• Excellent communication & negotiating skills combined with the ability to delegate
• Microsoft Office literacy with profound experience of Excel
• State and federal environmental laws updated
• Fluency in English
• Fulfilled Military Service obligations
• Up to 32 years old
• Confident decision-making ability
• Team spirit

Key Responsibilities:
Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:
• Coordinate design engineers over the projects. Use project specific standards and ensure that the design efforts are progressing in the most efficient manner possible. Review drawings for omissions, errors, overall quality, content accuracy and compliance with standards, codes and specs.
• Prepare working drawings for construction on CAD with support from department staff when applicable
• Prepare project file updates, transmittals, letters, reports and other project correspondence
• Provide costing on materials, equipment, or labor to determine a project’s economic feasibility. Track project budgets and schedules
• Coordinate construction crews. Conduct project supervision, monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents
• Elaborate design options for consideration by the project manager and / or the client.
• Communicate and coordinate project activities with customer representatives, project team and management
• Review and / or establish project scope, general budget, design approach and applicable constraints with the department manager, project manager and client as appropriate

Desired Skills and Experience:

 Master Degree on related field will be considered as a plus
 Project management skills
 Good command of German/Spanish/French language will be appreciated
