Participant for Basel Winter School - Psychiatry and Psychology (Switzerland)

The second Basel Winter School on Leadership and Professional Skills will take place in Basel, Switzerland from 16th to 18th January 2017. We are pleased to invite early career psychiatrists and psychologists to attend the course which will broaden their horizons, make them meet colleagues from different countries and acquire professional skills useful in their daily work and in academic pursuits.

In an interdisciplinary and intercultural perspective 15 participants will be offered the opportunity to learn and practice several highly relevant skills, i.e. how to:
- make a presentation
- write/read a paper
- find a title
- chair a meeting
- answer a question
- participate in a discussion
- produce a CV
- be elected and
- write a report.

Moreover, the participants will be given a presentation on «The dark side – Effects of drugs in patients with addictive disorders» describing an innovative conception of addiction, possibly leading to new ways of treatment and new areas of research.

Successful applicants will be provided board and lodging.
