Kindergarten Teachers’ Aide at Pinewood in Thessaloniki

Pinewood is seeking a qualified, caring and motivated preschool teachers’ aide for our all-English Early Years Program in a full time capacity to begin in October 2016. We are seeking a teacher’s aide who will participate collaboratively and professionally with the lead teacher in creating an optimal learning environment that allows our students to develop to their fullest potential in a nurturing atmosphere. As a member of the Pinewood community, the EYP Teacher’s Aide will embrace the school’s mission, vision and philosophy.

Responsibilities
- Work in a collaborative manner with the lead teacher
- Encourage students' positive self-image and support individuality and independence
- Respond appropriately to students' learning, physical and emotional needs
- Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment
- Provide indoor and outdoor supervision of children
- Assist children with personal care and food preparation
- Manage classroom behavior
- Initiate and model positive interactions with children
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to continually learn, improve skills and adopt new ideas
- Assists in implementing after school activities by leading 3 activities per week

Key Competencies
- Native or near-native English speaker
- Experience working with young children
- Caring, creative, energetic and positive attitude
- Familiarity with child development
