- Project Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
- EU Visa/Working Status is REQUIRED.
- Fluency in spoken and written English; knowledge of Arabic, Farsi or Greek is an asset.
- Awareness of and familiarity with the issues and dynamics of the Europe refugee crisis a strong asset and changes.
- Extensive project management experience with the ability to deliver results to agreed timetables and budgets. Ability to build and analyze budgets in Excel is required. Familiarity with DFID, EU and/or USAID compliance regulations is an asset.
- Extensive track record in supervising, designing, managing, and implementing community media projects and/or humanitarian information projects with a focus on participation and community engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills to liaise authoritatively with figures from the humanitarian community, local government, civil society, media, etc.
- Team-building skills and the ability to manage a diverse staff in a challenging and a highly fluid environment.
- Proven experience in donor liaison and fundraising.
- Good knowledge of the mandates and modalities of the international humanitarian sector including the UN cluster system and capacity.
- Sensitivity to cross-cultural dynamics in the workplace.
- Ability to adjust to shifting political and operational circumstances and create programming accordingly.
- An understanding of the vision/mission, core values and objectives of Internews.
- Understanding of and passion for the area of communications with disaster-affected communities Excellent communication and reporting skills, both written and oral.
- Psychological resilience and a sense of humor.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and ability or willingness to drive a standard shift vehicle a plus.
