Wetsus is looking for excellent and highly motivated candidates with interest in water science and technology having an MSc degree in chemical engineering (position 4.1), mathematics (position 4.2), biochemistry (position 4.3), (mechanical) engineering (position 4.4), environmental engineering (position 4.5), organic chemistry (position 4.6), soil chemistry (position 4.7), polymer physics (position 4.8) and physics (position 4.9) or or related disciplines.
To stimulate mobility of researchers and to further internationalize the research program, Wetsus received funding for the WaterSEED project from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 665874. The best eligible candidates will be awarded a Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellowship.
Requirements
The Wetsus research program brings together research on water technology from over 16 universities from all over Europe in one physical location in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. The research is demand driven through active participation of more than 100 industrial partners in the program. Key elements in the program are the strong focus on interdisciplinary interaction, entrepreneurial skills and societal relevance.
You will be working in an innovative, dynamic and future-directed institute on water technology research. You will work in close collaboration with industrial partners.
Conditions of employment
Doing a PhD in The Netherlands takes 4 year. You will earn a salary to make a living. In year 1 the salary is €30.674, in year 4 €39.214 before tax. The amount of paid holiday days is 35/year.
