Save The Children seeks for:
- Health and Nutrition Officer
Essential:
- University degree in health / public health / nutrition / social sciences or other relevant field and/or Full registered Nurse or Midwife Qualification or relevant health practitioner
- Knowledge and understanding of health determinants amongst migrant and refugee communities, and health policies and practices in Greece and the European Union, with emphasis on Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child Health
- Primary health care /community health care/public health experience among vulnerable communities
- Demonstrable commitment to promoting and supporting optimal breastfeeding and complementary feeding, quality antenatal and postnatal care;
- Experience in conducting assessments and monitoring programmes (ideally health and nutrition-related)
- An understanding of the health system in Greece, including data and Health Management Information System (HMIS)
- Familiar with Behavioural Change Communication concepts and adult learning techniques
- Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions
- Prepared to live and work in an uncertain security environment
- Ability and willingness to frequently travel and stay in the field
- Demonstrable ability at recording and reporting and excellent communication skills
- Computer literate
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Greek
