Position: Human Resources Office Assistant (full time)
Reporting to the Human Resources Officer, the Human Resources Office Assistant supports administrative and payroll assignments as follows:
- Monitors compliance to Institutional Policies and Procedures and the Greek Labor Law in relation to a number of Human Resources (HR) related issues such as staff annual vacation and sick leave, personnel expenses, payroll, staff work schedules;
- Supports the staff recruitment process; prepares and disseminates announcements, archives and evaluates applications, responds to applicants;
- Prepares documentation and follows processes necessary for the initiation, change and termination of contracts;
- Keeps personnel files up-to-date and carries out general archiving;
- Assists in the preparation of statistical analyses and reports requested by AFS Administration and the Greek State;
- Supports the staff development and evaluation processes;
- Engages in special projects such as the update of policies and the initiation of new HRM information systems;
- Representsthe office in interactions with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
Required qualifications and characteristics:
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Human Resources or Accounting;
- Experience in payroll, human resources management or general administration;
- Proficient user of the English language;
- Skilled user of MS Office;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Analytical and critical thinking;
- A collaborative work style;
- High level of integrity and professional discretion.
Other qualifications and skills:
- Experience in the use of the Ergani Information System of the Hellenic Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Welfare (eservices.yeka.gr);
- Experience in the use of HRM and payroll information systems.
