In recognition of Ralph P. Hummel’s intellectual contributions to public administration, social policy, political science, and organization theory, the Institute of Applied Phenomenology in Science and Technology (IAP) has established the Ralph P. Hummel Doctoral Research Scholarship Fund to be used to support interpretive doctoral dissertation research. The Public Administration Theory Network (PATNet) endorses and supports the fund.
Eligibility
Applicants are limited to doctoral students working on dissertations using phenomenological or other interpretive approaches in public administration, social policy and planning, political science, organization theory, and related fields.
Award
The IAP will award the winner up to USD 1000. In addition, PATNet has agreed to waive conference registration fees for the winner in the year the award is received as well as the year completed research is presented at its conference.
Funds may be used to support dissertation research, including travel expenses and presentations of the research at professional conferences.
