The research training group provides an excellent collaborative and interdisciplinary environment for research in molecular radiation biology as well as a comprehensive curriculum covering scientific and transferable skills. Research projects focus on different aspects of the response to ionizing irradiation from the molecular to the organismal level. Participating institutions include Technische Universität Darmstadt (Departments of Biology, Chemistry and Physics), the Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung (GSI) and the Department of Radiotherapy and Oncology at the University of Frankfurt.
Applications in the fields of Molecular Cell / Radiation Biology, Medicinal Chemistry / Biochemistry, Physics / Biophysics or Biomedicine, either with an experimental or theoretical background, will be considered. Successful candidates will have an excellent Diploma or Master degree in any of the aforementioned disciplines.
