The Peace Work Institute is one of the key components of YMCA Europe Roots for Reconciliation programme,aiming to empower youth leaders working with young people in acting for change in their organisations and communities as multipliers of peace culture.
The PWI is a two-year-long scheme requiring commitment of minimum four weeks for residential activities, with homework assignments in between.
Those activities are:
PWI Training Session One: April 3 - 9, 2017 (Tbilisi, Georgia)
PWI Training Session Two: November 12 - 18, 2017 (Berlin, Germany)
Roots for Reconciliation Follow-up Projects by PWI Graduates: through 2018 (location tbd)
PWI Alumni Reunion: Fall 2018 or Spring 2019 (location tbd)
The call will be open until January 15, 2017. The PWI Planning Team will carry out the final selection of the participants, so that those enrolled are notified by February 1, 2017. The criteria of selection are entirely merit-based, regardless of nationality, race, religion and gender. Endorsement and pledged mentoring support from sending organisations will be highly appreciated.
