The International Max Planck Research School for Environmental, Cellular, and Molecular Microbiology (IMPRS-Mic) in Marburg is the graduate school for Microbiology of the Max Planck Society, offering a fully-funded three-year PhD programme. The IMPRS-Mic is a joint initiative of the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology and the Philipps-Universität Marburg. More than 25 internationally renowned group leaders are participating in the PhD programme and offer PhD projects in the following research areas:

A cutting-edge PhD project is complemented by seminars and lectures, scientific and soft skill workshops, as well as international conferences and retreats. The official language of the school is English.
