The ARC Research Hub for Nanoscience Based Construction Materials Manufacturing (NANOCOMM) and Centre for Built Infrastructure Research (CBIR) at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is calling for applications for PhD scholarships commencing in 2017. There are 10 research scholarships available. These research scholarships are sponsored by the following industry partners:

- Cement Concrete & Aggregates Australia
- Cement and Concrete Association of New Zealand
- Roads and Maritime Services
- Wuhan Zhihe Technology Development
Students in a PhD program within CBIR will engage in commercial research with an industry partner as a co-supervisor. Local students with relevant industry experience will be considered favourably and have the option of undertaking part-time research while maintaining their role within industry. Students seeking to publish existing and future research of a scholarly calibre will be supported to do so. Successful candidates will enjoy the strong industry and academic linkages that CBIR has built both domestically and internationally, to support their career aspirations.
