Applications for the 2017 Humanity in Action Fellowships are now open for students and recent graduates from Greece! We hope that you will help us spread the word by sharing the Call for Applications widely with your students, colleagues, and contacts. The costs of participation in the Fellowships are fully covered.
- Fellowships in Europe (Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Warsaw): May 26 - June 25, 2017.
- John Lewis Fellowship in the United States (Atlanta, Georgia): July 5 - 30, 2017.
Intensive and demanding, the Fellowships bring together international groups of students and recent graduates to explore national histories of discrimination and resistance — including the political foundations of racial hierarchies, Antisemitism, Islamophobia and colonial domination — as they affect different minority groups today. The Fellowship seeks to educate, connect and inspire future leaders in the fields of human rights and social justice.
Humanity in Action will select university students and recent graduates from Greece who are mature, proactive, self-reliant, and comfortable in intensive group activity and interaction. Humanity in Action seeks candidates who are eager to stretch their understanding of the programs' issues beyond their own national contexts and specific fields of study. Proficiency in English is required. All majors and academic disciplines are encouraged to apply.
