Deputy Country Director at Mercy Corps (Athens)

Mercy Corps seeks for:
- Deputy Country Director

Knowledge and Experience:
- BA/S required & MA/S or equivalent in social science, management, and international development preferred.
- 5-7 years of field experience in international relief and development programs, including demonstrable success in managing complex transitional development programs as well as complex emergency response programs.
- 3-5 years practical experience in community-based programming, capacity building, NGO management
- 3-5 years of senior-level leadership and field management experience, including building, managing and leading a team of professionals with Mercy Corps, strongly preferred.
- History of working effectively and respectfully with host country government, private sector, INGO and NGO partners in complex environments.
- Excellent writing skills and experience with proposal development processes with prior experience with EU and other bilateral funding agencies.
- Experience with private and corporate donor engagement.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills to manage the security in both stable and unpredictable situations.
- Proven skills in financial management are necessary.
- English proficiency required; second language Arabic/Farsi/Urdu/French/Greek language skills preferred.Success Factors
