Consultant Resource Geologist (Sweden)

SRK Sweden currently has a requirement for a Consultant Resource Geologist

The primary role is to provide competent consulting geological services to support SRK projects and clients. This will involve working as part of multi-disciplinary SRK teams providing geological input and representing SRK professionally to clients.

Main Technical Responsibilities:
The work involved in undertaking this role may include the following activities, as well as other responsibilities as required:
* Evaluation of exploration properties, exploration status reviews, sampling studies and exploration programme management. Collecting, recording and cataloguing of geological samples; core logging, interpretation of results and compilation of formal technical geological reports.
* Evaluation of laboratories used for sample analysis and relevant analysis of Quality Assurance-Quality Control (QA/QC) measures.
* Undertaking Mineral Resource estimates for projects at various stages of development in accordance with various international reporting standards, e.g. JORC, CIM.
* Conducting Mineral Resource audits associated with multi-disciplinary studies such as Technical Audits or Competent Person´s Reports.
* Preparation of detailed proposals for SRK project requests by potential clients.
* General management of projects and associated multi-disciplinary teams.

Essential Requirements:
* Masters in geology / economic geology
* Knowledge of international Mineral Resource and Reserve Reporting Codes
* Advanced user of one or more modelling software packages such as Leapfrog, Datamine, Surpac, GEMS, Micromine or Vulcan
* Business development skills
* Excellent report and proposal writing skills requiring strong English language (verbal and written) skills. Swedish and / or Finnish is an advantage but not crucial
* Track record of bringing projects in on time, within budget and to clients` satisfaction
* Experience of working with a variety of commodities
* Strong communication and team building skills
* Effective organisation and time management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
