The IMFSE programme is jointly offered by three Full Partner Universities: Ghent University (Belgium), Lund University (Sweden) and the University of Edinburgh (UK). The IMFSE programme consists of 4 semesters of 30 ECTS-credits each, i.e. 2 years and 120 ECTS-credits in total. The mobility structure, with the possible change in study location after each semester, gives students the opportunity to gain from the strengths and expertise of more than three universities in the field of Fire Protection Engineering.
Eligibility
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or recognised equivalent from an accredited institution (minimum three years full-time study or 180 ECTS credits) in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, chemical, industrial engineering, material sciences, chemistry, physics, applied physics, architecture, urbanism and spatial planning or a related discipline.
Note: Students in their last year of a Bachelor’s programme at the time of application will also be considered for admission. It is the applicant’s responsibility that the Bachelor degree is obtained before the start of the IMFSE programme.
Proficiency in English Language Required: IMFSE is an English-taught programme and an English language proficiency is thus a basic requirement.
