Research Assistant at the Cyprus Institute

The Cyprus Institute invites applications for a Research Assistant who will support EEWRC’s Smart Urban Isle (SUI) research project. The project plans to investigate, implement and validate energy neutral ‘Smart Urban Isles’ (SUI), defined as ‘areas around a public building, which make use of the synergies between different (building) functions and of the scale advantages for energy solutions’.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
- Ability to co-write scientific articles and reports
- Ability to present scientific results at meetings and conferences
- Qualified expert in Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)
- Expertise in energy performance of buildings and energy simulations
- Ability to work in a research team
- Excellent communication skills in English and Greek
- Knowledge of the following software: a) iSBEM-CY b) EnergyPlus c) DesignBuilder d) IES (Integrated environmental solutions)
