We currently have an exciting opportunity for three Post-Doctoral positions to support the establishment, development and running of a unique field-based automated phenotyping platform, which will allow an unprecedented scale of detailed plant and crop evaluation in the field.
Field Phenotoyping Image Analysis & Data Handler – Job Ref 1392
The post requires expertise in image processing and analysis, software and database development, preferably with a plant/agricultural science background, and will involve data extraction and large scale high throughput data handling. The appointee will liaise with other team members and facility users to ensure high throughput automated pipelines are in place to facilitate data flow from the experiments to the experimentalists.
Field Phenotyping Instrument Specialist - Job Ref 1393
The post requires a plant biologist having specific expertise with instrumentation and technologies for assessing plant performance and health or crop monitoring, ideally with experience of automated phenotyping systems. The appointee will be part of a dedicated team, interfacing between the other advertised posts and equipment manufacturers such as the platform provider.
Field Phenotyping Crop Physiologist - Job Ref 1394
This post demands a plant or crop physiologist to plan and coordinate appropriate field trials, ensure correct plant parameters are measured, pose suitable questions and liaise with other users of the facility. Expertise with high throughput trait analysis, particularly with cereal crops, would be an advantage.
