The Cyprus Institute invites applications for a Research Assistant who will support STARC’s participation in the preparatory phase of the Pan European Research Infrastructure for Heritage Sciences project for which STARC has assumed the responsibility of the Infrastructure’s communication and dissemination of activities. The successful candidate should be able to provide content and support towards these tasks, prepare, compose and publish reports, press releases as well as populate and maintain the project’s website and database. S/He must have excellent verbal and communication skills, a solid background in cultural heritage research and a demonstrated knowledge of digital technologies, digital imaging and digital libraries.
Required Qualifications:
- At least an MA degree in Humanities with a focus of History, Archaeology and Cultural Studies
- At least 1 year of previous relevant experience;
- Proven knowledge and involvement in digital cultural heritage research projects
- Proven ability to collect data, synthesize and write research essays and reports
- Proven ability to write scientific articles and reports
- Proven ability to present scientific results at conferences
- Excellent communication skills both in English and Greek languages
- Knowledge in software for measuring and analyzing 3D models.
- Proficiency in oral and written English and Greek languages
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
