Three fully funded PhD scholarship (40+ k€/year + pension) within the areas of ice flow modelling, methane measurements, and isotope measurements are available at Centre for Ice and Climate, a Danish National Research Foundation Centre of Excellence located at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
The successful candidates will be part of the highly international and scientifically diverse centre team of about 50 people. The centre conducts ice core drilling in Greenland (e.g. the NGRIP, NEEM, and RECAP projects) and analysis of ice core and modelling data with the objective of understanding the governing processes of past and future climate.
Candidates will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in a stimulating and interactive international environment and potentially to participate in field work on the Greenland ice sheet.
