Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) Research Fellow Position (Postgraduate Associate / Research Assistant B’) over the subject ‘Web design and Web server setup and maintenance’ at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics, at the Photogrammetric Vision Lab, for a H2020 research and innovation project, titled “iMARECULTURE”.
iMARECULTURE supports dry visits by providing immersive experience through HMDs, VR Caves, holographic screens on museums and the web. Additionally, aims to significantly enhance the experience of the diver visitor, implementing underwater AR in an underwater tablet. Applicants should have:
- An undergraduate degree in Graphics design from a recognized university in Computer Science/Vision, IT, or Graphics design disciplines or similar
- Web Design and programming skills
- Very Good knowledge of the English language (spoken and written)
- Strong motivation and ability to work independently
The following will be considered as an advantage:
- Experience with VR/AR applications, using HMDs
- Experience in 3D modelling
- Scientific publications
Τhe appointment will commence in May 2017 with an initial duration of four (4) months, with the possibility to be gradually extended until the end of the project, in October 2019. The monthly gross salary for the position will be €1411.70 (the cost of 13th salary has been proportionally incorporated into the monthly remuneration) Based on performance, renegotiation of salary is possible upon the renewal of the contract. There is no provision for medical insurance.
