PhD Positions, National Institute for Materials Science, Japan (2017)

We are seeking for highly motivated PhD candidates, who have a strong interest in theoretical condensed matter physics and in earning a PhD degree of Science through research activities in National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS). The successful candidates on this program will belong to Graduate School of Science in Hokkaido University and receive the NIMS Graduate Research Assistantship to work at NIMS in Tsukuba with a monthly stipend of about 180,000JPY.

Desired skills and experience
- Applicants should have or be expected to have a Master’s degree in physics by the end of September 2017.
- Knowledge of Japanese is not required, but the applicants should share their research interest with us; see http://www.nims.go.jp/nqt/yamase
