The present European situation on migration and the strengthening political and social discriminatory extremism calls for action in order to (re-)construct a peaceful, respectful society which seesdiversity of cultures not as danger but as resource for growth. Demeaning speeches by politicians, violence, anti-migrant demonstrations, and discriminatory practices by national authorities are risking to turn Europe’s citizens less open-minded and more discriminative.

According to the Council of Europe’s statement on discrimination and intolerance, counteracting discrimination through education can be the tool to establish a respectful, inclusive European society: „educational programmes that raise awareness about the mechanisms of prejudice and intolerance and how they contribute to discriminate and oppress people, and on the appreciation of diversity and promoting tolerance” can be the key for positive changes.

Through the project we will promote the development of EQ, building the 4 elements of Emotional Intelligence: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management, which can lead from one hand to deconstruct fears and stereotypes, to develop an empathic attitude; and from another hand to increase resilience and self-esteem.

Following the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme, the general objective of the project is to enhance the actions for reaching out to marginalised young people, promoting diversity, intercultural and interreligious dialogue, common values of freedom, tolerance and respect of human rights as they are the funding values of the European Union (Article 2 of the Treaty establishing a European Union).

Καλύπτεται το 100% του κόστους διαμονής και διατροφής και μέχρι 170 ευρώ ταξιδιωτικών εξόδων.
