The International Max Planck Research School for Heart and Lung Research (IMPRS-HLR) is a joint international graduate program of the MaxPlanck Institute for Heart and Lung Research, Bad Nauheim, the Goethe University, Frankfurt, and the Justus Liebig University, Gießen.
We are now inviting outstanding students to apply as PhD candidates.
The program provides research-oriented, interdisciplinary training at the Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research and covers high-level science in development, remodeling and regeneration, stem cell biology, developmental genetics and translational research. We are equipped with state-of-the-art techniques and offer outstanding technologies. You will be able to choose a research project out of one of the participating research groups of the institute.
Doctoral fellows will participate in a graduate school program including seminars, methods courses, career development training and retreats. The curriculum is tailored for a highly qualified diverse and international student body. You will take part in the rich scientific life of the institute and the universities and benefit from individualized supervision.
Students will receive a monthly stipend. Depending on your qualifications and the selected projects, you may be eligible to register for one of the four doctoral degrees offered, including PhD, Dr. rer. nat., Dr. hum. biol., and Dr. med.
