The training course for EVS support staff “Contact-Create-Improve-Develop Quality EVS Projects” aims at improving the competences of EVS support staff and mentors working and collaborating with international volunteers.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
• Explore, understand and rebuild the philosophy of EVS as a space of opportunities for all actors involved.
• Understand and develop practices within the different stages of an EVS project that can support the volunteers experience.
• Increase motivation to develop quality projects and create inspiration with new ideas and the empowerment of the support staff.
• Creation of an informal network of participants (and their organizations) for cooperation and exchange of ideas, tools and practices.
• Gain and improve soft skills such as, communication, problem solving, coaching, teamwork, leadership, intercultural learning, project management.
The project will combine the principles of non-formal education and experiential approach based on participants’ needs, motivations and experiences by using a diversity of activities within an interactive and safe environment.
PARTICIPANTS PROFILE
The participants selected need to be already active within the support system of EVS (Coordinators, Supervisors, Mentors), or are willing to become active. High motivation should be demonstrated through the application, and they should be collaborating with organisations that are already accredited EVS organisations or are in the process to get accredited. We are expecting to have a diverse group of participants with different experiences, quantitative and qualitative that can support the objectives of the training and the learning process. There is no upper age limit.

• Are over 18 years old
• Have a genuine passion for EVS
• Willing to learn and motivated to share their own experiences
• Willing to multiply learning after the training course
• Are able to work in English
• Are committed to attend for the full duration of the project
