Safe Zone Senior Officer at the International Rescue Committee (Athens)

International Rescue Committee seeks for:
- Safe Zone Senior Officer

REQUIREMENTS:
- Technical diploma or degree in humanitarian, social sciences, degree in education, psychology or social work desired
- At least 2 years’ experience in child protection programs and preferably in case management; preferably experience in shelter for minors
- Experience managing staff and logistics in a complex environment
- Strong leadership skills and experience working in large teams
- Previous experience supervising and coordinating a team in a cross-cultural setting preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children, understanding of the needs of adolescent boys
- Experience in camp setting will be considered an asset
- Previous experience in emergency preparedness and response preferred
- Previous experience in capacity building and mentoring of staff preferred
- Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure well, able to respond to emergency situations in a calm and coordinated manner
- Fluency in Greek and English required. Fluency in one of the following languages preferred: Arabic, Farsi, Urdu.
