Oxfam Novib seeks for:
- Protection Officer
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with humanitarian organisations and protection.
- Bachelor’s degree in law, social science, refugee studies, or similar field;
- Strong conceptual and practical understanding of humanitarian protection principles and standards;
- Demonstrated understanding of the gender dimensions of protection work
- Experience of community-based or community mobilisation work in a humanitarian context;
- Proven ability to build effective, constructive working relationships with other agencies and local authorities and service providers;
- Outstanding diplomatic, social, and intercultural skills with demonstrated cultural sensitivity
- Demonstrated commitment to downwards accountability and a rights-based approach;
- Ability to work under pressure with a high level of adaptability and initiative;
- Very good interpersonal skills, particularly in networking, working with communities, local civil society, and local authorities.
- Language skills in Arabic, Farsi or Dari
- English written and verbal communication
- Right to work in Greece
