International Rescue Committee seeks for:
- Environmental Health Technical Officer (WASH Engineer)
Person specification:
-Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in WASH/SHELTER construction/maintenance in building and prefabs containers mainly in a humanitarian/recovery context or in refugees camps context
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or electrical or mechanical engineering , or experience to match
- Experience/knowledge in design of small scale electrical networks and heating networks is a plus
- Excellent skills in Office package, AutoCAD
- Experience supervising and managing a team of 5 or more people and subcontractors. Strong cross cultural skills and experience working in multicultural environments.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge on various Greek technical legislation
- Ability to manage project grants including project design, budget preparation, expenditure tracking, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting.
- Experience with capacity building
- Flexibility to work with changing demands.
- Sensitivity to the needs and priorities of different sectors of the community.
- Oral and written fluency in Greek and English is required.
