International Rescue Committee seeks for:
- Child Protection Case Worker / Unaccompanied Minors
Job Requirements:
- Technical diploma or degree in social work, psychology or a related field;
- Minimum of 1 year experience in social work or case management with children, in humanitarian or development settings
- Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly unaccompanied and separated refugee children;
- Personal qualities: Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure well and work in cross-cultural setting.
- Fluency in English and/or Greek. Preference will be given to candidates with fluency in the following languages: Arabic, Farsi, Dari, Pashto, Kurdish.
- Experience working at international development programs highly desirable;
- Understanding and sensitivity to the needs of people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures;
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure;
- Responsiveness to queries and referrals as and when needed and able to manage a varying workload;
- Cultural awareness and ability to build relationships quickly with a wide variety of people;
- Experience of working with refugees and vulnerable groups of people.
