PhD Positions, Vienna Graduate School of Finance, Austria (2018)

The Vienna Graduate School in Finance (VGSF) invites students to apply for the PhD program in Finance to start in September 2018. Our school is a joint partnership of three institutions: the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS), the University of Vienna and the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU Vienna).

PROGRAM

The PhD program is a 5-year, full-time program structured into coursework and research. The aim of the coursework is to train students to develop innovative research in finance. The program includes weekly research seminars at which renowned researchers present their latest work. VGSF students are fully funded. They are employed by the University of Vienna or by WU Vienna and exempt from tuition fees.

APPLICATION TIME

Opening: November 2, 2017 (02:00pm CET).

Closing: January 31, 2018 (02:00pm CET).

VGSF faculty evaluates all complete applications received by December 08, 2017 (02:00pm CET) and makes a first round of admission offers. A second round of offers will be made after the application deadline.

REQUIREMENTS AND DOCUMENTATION

The VGSF invites applications by well-qualified students with a Master’s degree (or equivalent degree) in finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, or related disciplines. Students graduating in June 2018 are also welcome to apply.
