Research Specialist at the Cyprus Institute

As a member of CaSToRC, the successful candidate will contribute in various projects and activities of CaSToRC. The successful candidate’s main responsibility will be to actively participate and contribute to CaSToRC activities in the current and future PRACE implementation project(s). Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to manage the Resource Allocation Committee and Peer Review process for access to computational and data resources.

Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science or Computational Sciences or any other related field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of high performance computing
- Experience with the European computing eco-system
- Experience with the organization of scientific training events
- Knowledge of technical aspects and services in high performance computing
- Programming experience with C, C++, Python or other programming languages
- Experience with web design and web site management
- Analytical and problem solving ability
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in oral and written English
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
