The Master’s course is aimed at young graduates interested in pursuing a career in companies, bodies and organisations in the energy and environmental sector. The MEDEA offers a Business Administration in the Energy Industry programme based on two study options: Global Energy and Managing Technical Assets. The two programmes share a significant part of the teaching input and are divided into three stages of study characterized by growing levels of specialization. The courses usually start in mid-September and run until the end of June. Despite all lessons being conducted in English, for non-Italian students an intensive Italian language during the summer before the course is also foreseen. The organisation of classes and study activities require full-time participation. Students who pass the final examinations are awarded the Master in Management and Economics of Energy and the Environment (MEDEA).
Eligibility
Italian candidates:
- a Italian university degree (2nd level – magistrale) with a final mark of not less than 105/110 (or 95/100) awarded by an economics or engineering faculty, or an equivalent academic qualification from abroad;
- less than 28 years of age;
- fluency in English.
Non-Italian candidates:
- possession of a university degree (from second upper class or equivalent) from a recognised university, in the faculties of economics, finance, business administration, management, engineering, mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology, statistics;
- less than 32 years of age;
- fluency in English.
Scholarship
Admission to the Master implies the exemption from payment of the enrolment fees which are equal to 25.000 EUR. Moreover, in order to favor the dissemination of energy culture in specific countries of interest to the energy sector, a number of scholarships will be given to deserving students who are in possession of citizenship of the following countries: Algeria, Angola, Cyprus, Congo, Egypt, Ghana, Indonesia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Libya, Mexico, Nigeria, Norway, Tunisia, Turkmenistan. In addition to the exemption from payment of the enrollment fees, the scholarship entails: financial contribution for accommodation and living expenses, free training materials. In the allocation of grants, a selection committee will evaluate academic records, other certificates and degrees as well as the applicant’s professional experience. Academic or professional experiences in the oil and gas sector will be adequately appreciated. The course can be attended also by people autonomously chosen by the Eni companies abroad.
