Students interested in pursuing a PhD or DVM/PhD within the Department of Anatomy and Physiology at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine currently are being recruited.
The department faculty are engaged in research in many different fields including but not limited to; aging, alcohol dependence, anatomy (gross and microscopic), biomedical nanotechnology, cancer, cystic fibrosis, epithelial physiology, hearing loss, heart failure, kinesiology, male infertility, Parkinson’s disease, stem cell biology, teaching methods, pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, and toxicology.
Ideally we are seeking students with a bachelors or masters degree in physiology or anatomy or a closely-related discipline with demonstrable prior research experience and appropriate evidence of scholarship in the form of poster presentations and publications. Students will undergo a rotation in two or more professor’s labs and choose a mentor and project within the first year of their study.
